Education Companies Need Professional Editing
As a publisher of educational content, you know how critical it is for your written materials to look professional.
Whether you’re creating content for a new K–12 English language arts and math curriculum, building out course content for online learning, or developing a professional education program, your subject matter authority will appear questionable if your text contains errors or unclear writing.
The consequences could be disastrous.
You need your text reviewed by copy editors. But many freelancers are unreliable to work with or even unknowledgeable when it comes to best practices in instructional design. And for most organizations, hiring an in-house copy editor—much less a whole team of copy editors specializing in your industry—is financially out of reach.
Plus, many copy editing services don’t provide the individualized attention, style consistency, and overall reliability to meet your needs.
How Super Copy Editors Can Help Your Educational Materials Look Amazing
Our team of proven, professional copy editors offers combined proofreading and copy editing services that align with your educational standards.
We understand the unique challenges facing education companies, school districts, and curriculum designers. We also understand just how important it is for your written materials to be not just grammatically correct and error-free, but also logical, grade- and age-appropriate, and captivating for learners.
The fresh set of eyes you’ll get when you work with an outside copy editor means a new perspective and original feedback on your text.

How We Helped EL Education Produce a Top-Quality Curriculum
EL Education needed regular copy editing of their curriculum materials. They were overwhelmed with large amounts of text, and their previous freelance copy editor was both too expensive and not flexible enough to take on the daily volume of content. Here’s how we helped them excel.
Avoid Freelancer or Costly Hiring Headaches
While freelancers offer flexibility when it comes to proofreading services, their loose contract terms mean you’re exposed to the risk of them flaking out at any point—leaving your marketing department stranded and scrambling to meet deadlines.
When you partner with Super Copy Editors, we will blend in seamlessly with your team and processes with minimal ramp-up time.
We can customize our pricing to suit your company’s specific needs, whether you need professional copy editing for a K–12 curriculum that spans an entire school year or you just need a final proofread on a few critical training materials.
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Education Copy Editing Services
What’s included with your education copy editing and proofreading services?
We offer these standard services (and more):
- Word choice
- Sentence structure and flow
- Consistency in style and voice
- Revising as needed for clarity
- Ensuring your message resonates
This goes well beyond what most proofreading services offer—unless you pay them extra. Of course, when your copy has been finalized and just needs a straightforward careful proofread for any major errors, we can do that too—with finesse.
How much do you charge?
Our pricing starts at $80 per hour for most education-related proofreading or copy editing projects. We understand that, especially when it comes to months-long curriculum projects, you need maximum flexibility, so we are happy to customize our pricing and terms to suit your specific needs.
Remember, when you hire Super Copy Editors, you’ll get not only highly accurate copy editing or proofreading, but also individual attention—which larger editing services cannot or will not give you.
Which file formats can you work in?
We can handle most common file formats, such as:
- Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx)
- Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx)
- Rich text format (.rtf)
- Plain text (.txt)
- Adobe Acrobat (.pdf)
- Google Docs
- Google Slides
We’re also more than happy to review website text or even digital modules for you.
Which style do you use?
We can adjust to any specific style you require. We’re very experienced with MLA style, Chicago Manual of Style, and more. For K–12 curriculum projects, we usually recommend following the clean and simple Associated Press Stylebook, but ultimately you get to decide.
If you have a custom in-house style, we’ll learn it like nobody’s business—and we won’t ever charge you some silly “style guide reading” fee, like other editing services do. Once we begin working with you regularly, we’ll even begin compiling a personalized style guide for you so that we can keep everything consistent going forward. That’s a free service.
