
Dave Baker, founder of Super Copy Editors, is a freelance copy editor who has nearly two decades of experience in the media industry, including work for The Nation magazine, The New York Times, and The Times-Picayune of New Orleans, where he shared two staff Pulitzer Prizes after Hurricane Katrina.
During the chaos in the hours after Katrina, Dave recruited and led a team of news designers who worked by generator power in the middle of the night. (He also stood, floating atop floodwaters, on a giant piece of foam from the Superdome roof, using a stop sign as a makeshift paddle.)
As a copy editor, Dave has been entrusted with putting the polishing touches on articles and books by writers from all walks of life, including filmmaker Michael Moore, R&B singer R. Kelly, and talk-show host Ricki Lake. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in English with a concentration in writing.

Gloria Fair has edited and produced media presentations for Olympic, world, and national athletes as well as Broadway shows. As news editor of a New York Times daily newspaper, she oversaw the editing and style of all news copy. Gloria led the newspaper to several general excellence awards and has won state and national writing awards. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in French and Spanish.

Beth Navage has been an award-winning copy editor for about 25 years, including two decades on newspaper copy desks. She was a copy chief at the St. Petersburg Times and assistant metro copy desk chief at the Atlanta Journal- Constitution. As a homeschooler to two children, Beth has a keen interest in all aspects of education and has performed work for several educational publishers.

Jenna Rohrbacher has always had a great interest in helping writers improve and polish their work. She graduated from Portland State University in 2009 with a master’s degree in writing and publishing; she also honed her editing skills at the independent publisher Ooligan Press in Portland. In her spare time, Jenna dances and teaches Argentine tango in New York.

Geoff Smith edited hundreds of award-winning fiction and nonfiction titles during his six years as a supervising editor for Scholastic Inc. He developed book series for print, eReaders, and websites; assigned topics to authors; helped authors with their outlines and first drafts; and then took over from there to copy-edit the final product. As a freelance editor living in New York City, Geoff has edited novels, memoirs, children's books, marketing and advertising materials, textbooks, research papers, and websites. He has a strong background in fiction, history, the sciences, and sports. Geoff specializes in developmental editing, line editing, and proofreading. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in English/creative writing.
